This is out attempt to beat the cabin fever. It has rained most of the week and we have given up on a good weekend this time of year. The boys wanted out as much as us. We were going to Red River Gorge but decided not too with the rain, as we expected the roads to be worse and the water higher. After setting up camp the others turned in early since we couldn't maintain a fire. I noticed then there was some large storms on the way. We decided it was in our best interest to make the 30 minute hike out in the dark. I am glad we did as the steam had came up and it is hard to say what we would have faced in the morning.

My tarp is a MSS multipurpose survival shelter by Etowah outfitters and purchased from Ben's Backwoods for $49.98. with the amount of rain we were getting this would not have been a good shelter by itself. I add a poncho side but did not get much of a test before we broke camp.
