WHY WE BOUGHT A POPUP CAMPER

This is a video to explain why we bought a Popup Camper. Last year, we sold our 1998 Viking Popup Camper with the thoughts of buying a Hybrid camper. We looked for many months but we did not find anything we liked. Tired of wasting time, we bought a Popup camper so we could go camping. The Pros and advantages to owning a popup camper are lower price, lighter weight, easier to tow which helps better gas mileage, much more manageable. Some places you cant even get a travel trailer into, you can get a popup camper. My personal favorite is Windows! Most travel trailers have very small windows. Popups have windows all around, which is Awesome when you are camping by bodies of waters or great views. The Cons of a popup camper are sometimes personal opinions. They are smaller than travel trailers so if you want more room then popups are not for you. Some people don't like the setup. My husband can put it up in 15 minutes. Some people say there not comfortable but ours is good. They don't have a lot of storage, but you can get creative with making more storage. We will post another video when we are done with our improvements. Toilets and showers are not in a lot of them. Ours is a popup camper with a toilet but no shower, which we don't want anyway because we have a portable solar shower (link below). The refrigerator can be used with electric or propane & battery. We have a dorm refrigerator that we take additionally when we are going to have electric. I forgot to mention that in the video. We are also going to add flooring because we did in our old camper and it makes a difference on cold floors in the winter. The air conditioner in our unit ON LOW keeps camper like a meat locker. Popup campers also include a table, sink & stove, we don't use these so they are stored in our garage. Basically, we use ours as a glorified tent. LOL. I think buying a used popup camper is the type of camper people should start with when they are new to camping. If they end up not liking camping then they are not out of that much and they are easier to sell. I hope this is a helpful video.
