U.S. Senate debate with candidates Kari Lake and Ruben Gallego

U.S. Rep. Ruben Gallego and former television broadcaster Kari Lake are battling for Arizona's open seat in the U.S. Senate.

Gallego, a Democrat, is a five-term veteran of Congress. Lake ran unsuccessfully for governor in 2022.

It's a tight race that could affect which party controls the Senate next year under a new president.

The commission and Arizona Media Association are partnering to make Arizona’s 2024 debates accessible. They also can be viewed on YouTube and various other news outlets across the state.
