Twin elephants born in Myanmar in rare event | ABS-CBN News
An elephant camp in Myanmar, located 75 kilometers northeast of Yangon, witnessed the rare birth of twin elephants on Monday.
Pearl Sanda, a 21-year-old female elephant, delivered the female twin, named Pearl Sint, early Monday morning. The male elephant, named Kyaw Pearl, was born four minutes later, said Winga Baw Elephant Camp on its Facebook page on Wednesday.
As the elephant calves are newborn and too short to suckle, caretakers are feeding them by hand with a milk bottle.

Both twins are in good health, and Pearl Sanda is being nourished with more food to support her new role as a mother, said the elephant camp.
According to a camp official, Winga Baw, which opened in 2016, now houses a total of nine elephants, including the newborn twins.
The camp is well-known for being a sanctuary for orphaned baby elephants who have lost their parents due to illegal elephant trading activities..
