Russia’s interest-driven invasion of Ukraine, in defiance of international law
and the rules based order, remains undecided – absent prospects of tangible breakthrough.
And as winter fast approaches, it will once again force Europe to contend with its
lack of energy independence. On the political front, Poland, Luxembourg, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain and Ukraine are all expected to hold national elections by year’s end – granting European nations opportunities for change – in the face of a long-list of global challenges.
