Depending on where you were in the island of Montréal on April 8, 2024, there was a total eclipse, South-West had the better view, and in the north, missed it by a hair with 99.9% coverage of the Sun by the Moon, which was spectacular nonetheless. I personally admired the greatest show on Earth that day from very close, though my binoculars, equipped with excellent solar filters, which I also occasionally use to watch Sun spots, when not admiring partial eclipses caused by the planet Venus, passing between Earth and the Sun, certainly less publicized events, as special equipments are needed. Montreal eclipse 2024, fun to watch in good company; All that was missing was the champagne :-)

If the Earth is flat with only one Sun then how can the moon block the Sun above Montreal and not over Halifax, Winnipeg and Vancouver at the same time? This would mean there is a Sun-dome larger than a Moon-dome, I guess...

Was that a UFO half way through?
