TopHobbyTrains FVM N GP60 Standard LokSound Sound and Lights

Our latest mod is of the FVM N Scale GP60 standard cab. This loco is very similar to FVM's prior GP60M series with a few changes and improvements. We start by disassembling the entire locomotive and removing the roof beacon detail This is a solid casting so we drill it out to accept one of our THT sub micro SMD LED assemblies. The Frame and shell interior are then modified to provide room for the Knowles Grande speaker and LokSound Micro ver 4 decoder. The stock circuit board is modified and the headlight, and rear light are separately lit. The Number boards are also separately lit and all are DCC controlled. The LokSound Micro ver 4 desoder is hard wired to the loco. We updated our GP60 sound project and as always with our packages using the LokSound ver 4 decoders we add and mix many additional sounds and functions. This video shows the extreme motor control possible with the LokSound decoder. Motor control is smooth through the entire throttle range.
