    A BBC Radio series set in eighteenth-century Amiens, France at the height of the French Revolution.

    Despite the chaos swirling around him, Lieutenant General Jacques LaCroix of the Police Judiciere, aided by Sergeant Monet and Guardsman Duval and local "sorceress" Madeleine, must maintain law and order as France's revolutionary ideals seems to be slipping away into anarchy and violence and those who are supposed to lead France into a new age of enlightenment may actually be dragging it down.
