A sandstorm hit Mexicali, Baja California in a huge dark wall. Falling trees, poles and tarps have been reported due to this phenomenon.

Through its social media, the National Weather Service issued a sandstorm and thunderstorm warning in Imperial County, which also affected the city of Mexicali in Baja California.

Authorities have indicated that a dusty thunderstorm is also expected in the San Luis Rio Colorado area. In addition, power outages and accidents have already been recorded in the region due to the sand cloud that is present in the state.
