The Promised Land & Our Eternal Inheritance

Under the new covenant, we have a sure promise of eternal inheritance. God says we have already been given eternal life through the down payment of the holy spirit within. But you also have the freedom to throw it away.
Your eternal inheritance is promised to you by God who is faithful and reliable. And so, coming into full possession of your inheritance is something you can look forward to in confidence and faith. And God wants you to have this faith… He is pleased when you show trust in Him.
But, having been brought into this great inheritance through the deposit of the holy spirit you should live in a way that is pleasing to Him ... to walk in the fruits of the Spirit, to walk in His commandments, to do His will. (Luke 12:32, 1 Thessalonians 4:1, Hebrews 10:5-7;11:6).
