The Great Falling Away - Its Already Started But People Don't See it

If Jesus is God then John 3:16 is utter nonsense. If Jesus is the Father, then John 3:16 should read something along these lines "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Self, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life". If Jesus IS God then why does Jesus go through the trouble of creating the fiction of being the Son of God? You also neglect many verses where in Jesus seems to go out of his way to to establish that He and the Father are separate beings, and that Jesus Himself is inferior to the Father, and that the Father has knowledge which Jesus Himself does not possess. For my own sake I will believe in Jesus's own spoken words that he is the only Son of the Living God, and not someone else's interpretation of a few cryptic Bible verses.

This is only a riddle if you accept the idea of the Holy Trinity. I am a Christian but I do not believe in the Trinity. If I remember right the doctrine of the Trinity was proposed and accepted at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. I believe Jesus Christ was the only begotten Son of the Living God, and sits at His right hand.

If Jesus is God, who is the Father if the Father is not God? Is God the Father and the Son? No sarcasm, looking for understanding of your interpretation.
