Surfs Up in Costa Rica, Waves Ahoy

A driver got a tremendous scare when he was traveling through Esparza, province of Puntarenas.

In a recording that went viral on social networks, it is observed how a huge wave hits the car in the Caldera sector.

Since the weekend, sea outflow has been reported in the area, a product of high waves, which has even damaged the breakwater.

Also last Wednesday the water went inland, affecting both the highway and a local school.

That same day, waterspouts were also sighted in the province of Puntarenas.
