Strong M5.6 earthquake hits Ishinomaki, Miyagi, Japan

In northeastern Japan, on April 18, there was an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8. The epicenter of the seismic event was in Miyagi Prefecture, the earthquake source lay at a depth of 50 km. The tremors were felt by residents of six prefectures, including Fukushima, Iwate and the metropolitan area. No information about the victims has been reported.
