Stoeger Arms X50 Air Rifle - 1500 FPS... not exactly...

Another 1500 FPS claim falls flat. The Stoeger X50 is another Chinese import priced at over $300. With an RWS 350 Mag Striker Combo in .177 selling for $385, why would you not spend a little more. The Stoeger took some time to break in, but did turn out respectable groups at 20 yards. If you get one, remember, you want HEAVY pellets. The lighter the pellets, the bigger the shot group. JSB Diabolo Express Heavies at 10.2 grn turned out the best group which was smaller than a dime. Velocity topped out at 1298 with lightweight, lead free pellets.
