Sports Antics

A newsreel-type film made for the home-showing market in the late 1940s on 16mm silent film....this is "Sports Antics" produced by the now-defunct and disappeared Sterling Films. "Antics" is right...there's some really....risky and unusual....sports film clips in this piece, to include jousting, using long wooden poles from the back of large rowboats. Ski jumps....bike races....bullfighting (well, sort of)...roller derby (with a special appearance from a celebrity, in this instance, Chico Marx of the famous Marx Brothers)...
