Should Cell Companies Turn Off Cell Towers During a Recession - The Answer is NO!!!
Mary Tanasy: I live in Southern NJ and Consumer Cellular company which uses AT&T network flicked the switch for 5G and as of March 5, 2022. Both my brother and myself lost the ability to send messaging. We have Galaxy S8 phones which we are perfectly happy with and use are Linux computers for everything else. They also wanted us to buy new phones $$$. We said that will not happen and found out the T-Mobile still uses the older towers to give service. They will send us new Sim cards in a couple of days and then, number port out original phone numbers and we are set. Research your local providers and do not give these big money hungry cell companies to make them richer then they already are. Keep your existing phones and save your money for what you really need.
