Zephaniah 2:3 says, Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger.
In Matthew 5:5-6, Yeshua or Jesus Christ speaks of the blessings for being meek and living by His righteousness. The righteousness of Christ is sinlessness or being obedient to God’s holy law, His ten commandments, which is a prerequisite for being a saint of God as per Revelation 14:12.
Faith in Jesus Christ or Yeshua, the Son of the living God, is vital. Faith leads to obedience to God and His divine law. True faith in Christ is demonstrated by our works which is defined by applying the law of God as Romans 2:13 and James 2:24. Both verses speak of man being justified in God’s sight for doing good works and not just faith only. If you shun the law of God, God will shun you and your children as per Hosea 4:6.
