I was curious with all of these goofy videos of people using soda bottles as "suppressors" but, how effective are they at decreasing decibels of gun fire? Well, I'm about to find out.

Surprisingly, it lowered the decibels quite a bit! But not enough for hearing safe. I recall having a slight ringing in my ear twice that day.
