Rhodesia has now started to become a legend: a prosperous African nation that was the Jewel of Africa, the Breadbasket of Africa, a real life Wakanda. However, the strong pioneers who founded Rhodesia did not have it easy. They had to struggle and sweat to build a civilized, first world nation out the brush, with no paved roads, no sanitation, no schools, no hospitals, no cities, and no cushy office jobs awaiting them. From dust, grime, flooding, and a dangerous environment, these pioneers built the flourishing nation of Rhodesia.

Unfortuantely, it was not to last. Many Blacks immigrated to Rhodesia, both to escape Bantu invaders, to get much better jobs, to get better schools for their children, to get clean water and plentiful food, and to take advantage of the Rhodesian legal system which was much better than the tribal law where offending tribesmen were sold to the Arabs as slaves. Eventually, the Blacks wanted to take what the Europeans had built, and the Soviet Union, Communist China, and North Korea stoked this Europhobic ethnic envy, and supplied them with all manner of weapons. They eventually overrun White areas and took over the government, though they would not have succeeded without the complicit Closet Commies in Western Governments.

Here, David Scobie covers the song written by Clem Tholet, in what has become something of an unofficial national anthem for Rhodesia. The audio quality is better due to the more recent recording. David has a great voice, somewhat like Neil Diamond.
