"IF" by Rudyard Kipling

You know its a great great poem. I love it and I still do , but in a much much different way. You see when you come into contact with God's word then you understand the gravity of how he ends the poem.
The temptation of the devil upon man, in fact the exact temptation of Jesus Christ by the devil is mentioned in the poem , whether knowingly or unknowingly it is in it.
So the poem is summed up in the last two lines:

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

So the temptation of the devil ALL THE WORLD AND ALL THAT IS IN IT, AND THE RESULT , YOU WILL BE A MAN, JUST A MAN BUT WITHOUT GOD.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, if any man love the world the love of the Father is not in Him.

The poem is very deep and it leads to a failed fading result that will ultimately perish. Still a good poem but understanding it and what is behind it is of the utmost importance.
