"Backpacking Cookware: The Ketalist" by Nutnfancy

For multi-person trips this is some of my favorite cookware: the GSI Outdoors Ketalist. It is a 1 Liter backpacking kettle and comes with a nesting and insulated cup and bowl set. Heck, there's even a spork (I never use it). In two years of testing I find this combination ideal for heating up larger quantities of water and cooking anything that will fit inside. Made of "Hallulite" an anodized aluminum, the Ketalist w/o the thick wire bail weighs 10.4 oz. Sometimes this weight isn't doable due to SAWC constraints but when it's hiked in you'll be glad you have it. On the stove it is stable and heats up quick. The lid keeps out debris and minimizes heat loss. Cost is reasonable. For single person trips I also review and discuss the Snow Peak Trek 700 titanium cup and lid, much lighter and compact.
