Your internal clock is your heart and it has a predetermined amount of time and You have no idea when it will expire, what then where will You spend eternity? Music by Send Rain
When I was in the military the first thing I learned was I had to have a watch.

In the Military you can’t be late, not even by a nano-second, period, formation, class, etc. If your late there is always a price to pay?

That is ingrained in me to this day, I live my life with margin, I always allow myself plenty of time to get where I need to be,

I allow for traffic, flat tire, anything that could slow me down? I am never in a hurry.

This is my military watch, This is a military clock. I always owned an alarm clock, They used to govern my life. The cell phone has replaced them all.

Do you know what the actual clock is that governs everyone’s life?

It is the human heart and the hands are the heartbeat?

God created you and placed you in a world where you are allotted a certain amount of time, your days are numbered.

At the exact moment that time runs out your heart will beat for the last time.

It is at that very moment you will leave time and step into Eternity.

What then, where will you be, who will be there to greet you?

Psa 90:10a The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

What if you give this no thought, I’ll worry about that when the time comes?

There was a Rich Man who did exactly that, He gave time no thought, He was not concerned that on day the clock in his chest would stop?

Luk 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
Luk 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
Luk 16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
Luk 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
Luk 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Luk 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

On the other hand what if you live your life with margin and prepare for that day because you know it will come, it is a certainty. The clock will stop?

The clock within your chest could beat it last beat at any second, you have absolutely no clue as to when it will stop?

Jas 4:13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
Jas 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.

One thing about clocks is if you look at them they barely move at all.

However if you take your eyes off them and get involved with something else, time flies. Billy Graham, I’ll be Seventy in 2 short years?

Settle it today, be certain that the day your clock stops and you step out of time and into eternity, you are at the gates of Heaven.

2Co 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
