Nuclear power the 'safest and cleanest' form of energy generation

Rolls Royce Vice President of Strategy and Business Alan Woods says nuclear power is the "safest and cleanest" form of energy generation.

"The problem we've got, is it's only four per cent of global energy," Mr Woods told Sky News Australia.

"That means that we've got a huge challenge - we need to increase that amount, and renewables, because if we don't, all the other industries are putting the waste into the atmosphere and they'll continue to do so.

"And that's unsustainable."
