**** “In 1942, my father was forcibly conscripted into the Slave Labour Service of the Hungarian army and deported to the Soviet Union where he perished in 1943.

(The Budapest offensive was the general attack by Soviet and Romanian armies against Nazi Germany and their Axis allies from Hungary. The offensive lasted from 29 October 1944 until the fall of Budapest on 13 February 1945. Soviets weren't in Hungary 1943 - Germany had NO relationship with the Soviets to provide labor)

Terry Samuels
1) **** Born Tibor Molnar in Debrecen, Hungary, in 1939 (6yo in 1945) to a Jewish family, Samuels was deported with his mother and younger sister, Suzi,
2) **** as the regime of Ferenc Szalasi conspired with the SS to liquidate the country's 500,000 Jews in late 1944.
3) **** His father had disappeared (presumed captured) earlier in the year; (see above)
in December
4) **** the rest of the family was put on a cattle truck transport to the Ravensbruck concentration camp north of Berlin then transferred to Bergen-Belsen for the duration of the war.
