Monsoons Bug Me part 3 with these Darkling Beetles
Please note that these critters do not have wings....
instead they have a solid cover that allows them to retain moisture in the heat.
The wind carried them here since they do not fly.
This year 2023 was the first year I have seen these so abundantly in Kingman.
Those that landed on the street, driveway, or sidewalk had a very hard time of survival as the video shows.
