Monkeypox has arrived in Australia with a probable case in Sydney, and a confirmed infection in Melbourne. New South Wales Health says a man, aged in his 40s who recently returned from Europe, has developed a mild illness. The man and a household contact are isolating at home. Health authorities say monkeypox is usually spread by an infected animal. A Melbourne man, aged in his 30s developed mild symptoms before returning to Melbourne from the UK.
