In the Eastern Region, locust swarms invaded Dammam and Khobar, and documented video clips circulated on social media on locust swarms in the Khobar Corniche. While the Locust and Migratory Pest Control Center affiliated to the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced that there are breeding of desert locusts in the Empty Quarter due to Hurricane "Sagar", stressing that it does not exclude seeing more swarms in western Al-Ahsa and also south of Riyadh in agricultural projects.
