I stopped to look at your post to see what you believed was the law given by Moses. I did not have to wait long, as you soon mentioned the commandment, and after that hoping your post will give us some freedom from it. The people of the world are in bondage to sin now, and are suffering the consequences of it, they are unable to free themselves from sin to serve God. What is your understanding of how Moses gave the Law to the people? Was it something He figured out for himself, or was it given to him, by the One who called him , and with great miracles led His people to freedom from the slavery they could not free themselves from? Pauls tells us here clearly which law, was abolished .....Eph 2:15  having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is,((((( the law of commandments contained in ordinances))))), so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, ..... As he says here it was the Law of commandments of ordinances. The ordinances pertaining to the sacrifices of bulls and goats looked to Christ as their fulfilment. Until He came there was no other way for them to attain forgiveness of their sins, even though these sacrifices could not do the complete job. Christ later knew that people would claim that He had changed the law, so He actually said Mat_5:17  "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfil........ What did he mean by the word fulfil? He used the same word again when He was to be baptised and John the baptise tried to prevent Him, He said ...Mat_3:15  But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness." Then he allowed Him..... He did not come to destroy the ordinance of baptism, He gave us an example and fulfilled it. As we know also it is a prerequisite for receiving the Holy Spirit. It was prophesied that He would magnify the law,.....Isa_42:21  The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable. which he showed when the question of adultery came up....Mat_5:28  But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. ..... When it came to the commandment of murder He said Mat 5:21  "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'YOU SHALL NOT MURDER, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.'
Mat 5:22  But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. So Christ far from getting rid of the law, made God's intent for it clearer. showing us the spirit behind the law, which is love. If we indeed love our neighbour as ourselves, we do not need the law written done as we will be keeping them as part of our nature. But this nature is not natural to us , and God has to give it to us thought His Spirit. For us to say we have faith in God or that we believe in God, and to deny His Law by which He governs the whole universe is crazy. If the Law no longer exist, then sin no longer exists we do not need to be saved from the penalty, Christ did not need to die for us.He died for us because the law is eternal we all sinned( broke the law) and are unable to pay the penalty. have .....Rom_5:13  (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 1Jn_3:4  Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
