Expert Witness ebike escooter lithium fires

About Rob's Repairs:

Rob co-invented the Revived Battery Electric Pickup Truck shown on CBC Newsworld. Rob was part of the group that created the Tap Water Scooter shown on CTV's evening news. Rob has saved at least two disabled people from plasma fires, as shown on Rob's stairlift repair diaries on video. North Vancouver City Council awarded Rob for his battery inventions. Winner of green inventions, from Canadian Business and Vancouver magazines. Cited as a "modern-day Thomas Edison" by Sun Peaks news. Was in front pages of Ming Pao and Burnaby Now, with the Revived Battery Electric Pickup Truck, which got 450 e-MPG mileage according to engineers. Rob's electric rides' technical details are listed in EValbum.com a visual database for pioneering electric vehicles.

Rob was nominated for a City of Richmond award. He rode his solar-charged ebike -- that charges even in the shade -- to city hall. There is a video of Richmond city hall's Chief Of Security praising this fun invention on two wheels.

Rob's Solar Powered Roadshow gave away hundreds of revived, single use batteries, with the help of a West Van mayor and Lions Clubs. Circa 2007, Rob sold reconditioned Saft $35 LS14250 non-rechargeable lithium batteries on eBay for $8, before Chinese companies sold LS14250 clones for $4, delivered. Rob's 2006-2011 videos showing how different sizes of non-rechargeable lithium cells were recharged may still be on video sharing sites.

Rob founded the Kyoto Bike Discount Program and organized 14 ebike shows circa 2005-2007.

Based on the policy-book, "Lives Per Gallon", Rob estimated his COPD-free 3-year lifespan extension would come from commuting by electric vehicles.

Circa 2011, Rob and the Vancouver Gadgeteers uploaded instrumented videos (on several video sharing sites) warning EV owners about BMS and battery charger flaws and consequent "ballooned" LIFEPO4 (lithium) e-scooter batteries.

Rob assisted Colin Mastin in the record-breaking lithium-powered UBC eBug's coast-to-coast run. Colin helped Rob build BMS's for the Revived Battery Electric Pickup Truck.

N.B. Certain battery chargers would void fire insurance policies per a Surrey FD inspector. His video statement is online.
