A BBC Radio adaptation by Bill Knox of his novel of the same name, first published in 1960.

In 1960's Scotland, the Kilburn family is one of the most dangerous criminal gangs. Drugs or dynamite, stolen or smuggled goods, nothibng is too hot for them to handle.

However, even among criminals, there is a line that should never be crossed ... and the Kilburns cross that line when one of them kills a policeman.

The problem for both the police and the Kilburns is ... which of the Kilburns was responsible?
