Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, And COVID-19: Prophylaxis, Mild, Moderate, And Severe Disease!
In this video we will dive into a topic that has a growing body of positive literature, that of Ivermectin for COVID-19! This study specifically compared Ivermectin to Hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of mild, moderate, and severe COVID-19. Additionally, they looked at Ivermectin prophylaxis in healthcare workers and family contacts of individuals diagnosed with COVID-19. We will start the video by discussing these two therapies, what they are, and how they may work. We will then dive into this study. One of the really strong parts of this study was the fact that they had separate groups for mild, moderate, and severe disease with an additional separate prophylaxis group! They found both improvement in inflammatory markers and faster viral clearance in the Ivermectin group. Beyond that though, they found decreased progression of disease and decreased mortality in the mild, moderate, and severe groups! Check out the video for all the details and more!
