The Idahoan shares his paraphrase of the 65th psalm.

Lyrics:

Praise awaits the Lord Most High in the city of His choice,
And faithful service also, for we, His people, do rejoice.
We were overpowered and enslaved unto iniquity,
But he forgave our transgression, and from sin’s power set us free.
All people unto Him shall flock, because He answers prayer,
Blessed are we, His chosen flock, who flourish in His care,
And dwell within His holy courts, where He bids us to His throne draw near.

To the farthest corners of the earth, beyond the mighty seas,
Men may put their confidence in Him, who answers all our pleas.
He is our savior and our God, arrayed in terrifying pow’r,
At His rebuke the raging seas before Him humbly cower,
He tells the mountains where to stand, like sentries posted on a wall,
And in the glory of His presence, all people silent fall,
In awe of all His miracles, and the works that they portend,
For He ordains the course of hist’ry from the beginning to the end.

He irrigates the earth with rain and makes the rivers flow,
He blesses the fields with fertility that abundant crops may grow,
The pastures are clothed with myriad sheep, and farmers abundant harvest reap,
Because it pleased the Lord our God to make these blessings overflow!
We’ll join the valleys and the hills, exultant songs to raise,
For our hearts with joy God’s provision fills, and thanksgiving and praise!
