The Idahoan shares his paraphrase of the 57th psalm.

Lyrics:

I appeal, Oh God, unto Thy mercy,
For my soul doth trust in Thee,
To take refuge beneath Thy wings from every calamity,
And so I’ll cry unto God Most High,
And from on high He will deliverance send to me.

Though all around my enemies like lions prowl,
And lay their snares for to take my soul:
Their teeth like spears, and words like swords devour,
Evil desire doth set them all on fire!
And so my soul is burdened down this hour.

But unto Thee, oh God let exaltation be!
For upon Thee my heart doth rest immovably!
Let all the earth extol Thy glory,
For greater than the heavens’ height is Thy mercy!

Awake, my voice, and in praise to God rejoice!
Let instruments of music now arise,
Proclaim aloud God’s truth beneath the clouds,
To every kindred beneath the skies!
