Some time ago, I was flying with a friend of mine, who happened to be an F-16 pilot in the U.S. Air Force. He was also a pilot for Delta airlines.

With that said, while flying to Nashville, Tennessee, he was napping and as I looked out the window, I noticed a jet in the distance spraying something out of both the wings. I woke up my friend and asked this experienced pilot what it was, all the while knowing that it was not a contrail. He said that he did not know what it was but could assure me that it was NOT contrail. There is a big difference.
