how to setup a pop up camper

This video will show you how to setup a pop up camper. Our unit is a 2002 Starcraft. It takes my husband about 15 minutes to put this camper up all by himself. One of the key things to remember with anyone, is not to bother them while they are setting up camp. This is when mistakes are made. Its pretty simple to assemble. Ofcourse, pop ups are going to differ in some ways. My main tip, if your buying a popup camper, is to make sure canvas is actually attached to frame of camper. If it is not, there will be gaps all over your camper where air can escape or come in. This was such a bad thing when we had our older camper. We have no problems with that now. We have had 3 popup campers now. We have learned things with each camper. Pros to having a popup camper (in our opinion) they weigh under 2000 lbs so you can tow them easily. That also means better gas mileage. The best is because of there size, you can get them into spots that other campers can not go. Also, if you buy them used, you can get some really great deals! Some models actually come with showers and toilets. I love that ours has a toilet. We did not go over the propane or battery usage because we have never used them. The fridge can run off electric or if your boondocking, then it can run off propane and battery. There are alot of cubbies for storing things and our unit has an extra compartment in the front for storage. Watch for our upcoming video to show you ways to get extra storage if you need it.
Our unit has a queen bed on one side and a double bed on the other and the table and couch makes into a bed also. Popup campers are a great way to dip your feet into camping to see if you like it without spending alot of money. (I outgrew tent camping a looong time ago)
