0:11 - Step 1
At first, you should draw the main contour. It will be the oval-shaped body. In front of it draw a circle. It will be the head of your dragonfly. Then draw a long line for the dragonfly's tail.

At first draw a straight line that passes through the middle of the dragonfly's body. But pay attention to the fact that the line is oblique. It starts at the upper right-hand corner of the paper and ends at the bottom left-hand corner. I think that you are able to draw the second line for the wings without my comments. Then make a preliminary marking at the end of the tail.

1:10 -Step 3
If you've done everything right, it will be easy for you to continue drawing your dragonfly. Start with simple things. Connect the head with the body, draw the contour of the tail and then start drawing the wings.

Everything you need at this stage is to draw the body and wings of your dragonfly. There is no sense in commenting, just prolong the lines of the wings and erase all the guidelines. Now you see that it is easy to draw a dragonfly in pencil if you do it step by step.

At the last step of our lesson, you should shade your drawing of dragonfly using a soft pencil. The wings are transparent. Just draw some veins on them. The tail must be dark and the body is fair.
