Greek Pantheon | Creation, Love, & Magic: Cosmogony, Eros & Conflict, Triple Goddess, The Moon
This is Spiritual Studies session #40.
You may have seen this coming. After spending significant time studying the Egyptians, it’s only natural that we move onto the Greeks and pay homage to their religious interchange.
We will compare and contrast the Greek cosmogony with its neighbors and ancestors. From here we’ll spend a significant amount of time talking about Love. But why? Because love is intrinsically intertwined with the ancient greek world view. Out of all religions, this preoccupation with love is curiously unique.
From here we move on to talk about the nature of magic and its association with the moon in ancient society. In all of these subjects, we’ll have curious ties to other religions, spiritual traditions bleeding all the way back to paleolithic goddess worship.
