Note: To address comments regarding comparisons against MSA Sordin's NRR rating, The blog "Trevor on the Trigger" has done research into the MSA Sordin's NRR rating and has a good write up here: https://trevoronthetrigger.wor....dpress.com/2014/05/0 The punch line is: "it’s basically impossible to tell at a glance which [frequency spectrum] standard was used in calculating the NRR of a given product. The solution is to seek out the test data published by top-tier ear-pro manufacturers, which shows noise reduction performance at 125/250/500/1000/2000/4000/8000 Hz, and compare it to the peak frequencies of the kind of noise we’re trying to block".
In actual use the Peltors performed the job of noise attenuation very well. However, if you plan to use ear pro all day such as at PRS or NRL match, we would always recommend "double-up" with foamy ear plugs underneath and it's important to note that even though the gel cups on this model are comfortable - they can become uncomfortable to wear after 5-6 hours of continuous use.
