Dr Anthony Fauci Says Masks Don't Work

Does anyone know when this was broadcast? It sounds like it was very early. He doesn't actually say they don't work, he says we don't all need to be wearing them. At the time, that was probably true. But this was before we understood how it spread. We didn't understand that people spread it for about three days before they start to get sick. In his email to a colleague from Feb. 2020, when he advises her that she doesn't need a mask, he says that they're primarily to prevent infected people from spreading the disease. This has been widely interpreted as saying that they don't work, but again, that's not what he was saying. Once we figured out that it spread before symptoms showed, we realized that masks were actually very useful.
