In 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt converted it to a presidential retreat and renamed it "Shangri-La".

Fort Detrick is located in close proximity to Camp David, I think it's fair to assume they're probably connected via underground tunnel systems.

Fort Detrick was the center of the U.S. biological weapons program from 1943 to 1969.
