‘Disturbed and Embarrassed’: Woman Dies in Custody of Tennessee Cops After Begging for Medical Help

Bodycam footage shows Tennessee police arresting Lisa Edwards in February after she was discharged from Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. The video shows the 60-year-old woman begging for medical help as officers work to load her into the back of a cruiser. Edwards collapsed in the back of the cruiser and later died while in custody. Knoxville Police Chief Paul Noel said he was “disturbed and embarrassed” after watching bodycam footage of the incident. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie breaks down the tragic incident.
