CSGO FPS BENCHMARK with GTX 970 & i5-8500 | 1280x960 | 4:3 | HIGH & LOW SETTINGS

CSGO FPS performance in 2023 with Nvidia GTX 970 graphics card and Intel i5-8500 (8th generation) processor in 1280x960 resolution. Tested with high and low settings on official deathmatch servers which is a sufficient load in my opinion. Each deathmatch map has been played whole 10 minutes. FPS Benchmark was ran a minimum of 9 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes per deathmatch game to ensure the averages are fairly calculated. Each game had a minimum of 10 real players and a maximum of 20 (it's very difficult to find an official deathmatch with a full server (20 players) every time).

Competitive mode would most likely give better results since your PC wouldn't have to handle so many connections from other players as you do in deathmatch.

One thing that was noticed when conducting these benchmarks is that when another player connects to the server, the game drops a significant amount of frames resulting in low "0.1% LOW" FPS count.
In addition FPS Benchmark map test has also been conducted.

Bear in mind that software running in the background e.g. FPS tracking software and recording software affect the final FPS result.

Other settings used while recording:
- FXAA was not used in this video since it does not work at all.
- fps_max variable was set to 400 and 450 where applicable (yes it does affect FPS), and switched off for benchmark map (default for the map)
- Launch options used: -novid -nojoy -high (-untrusted & -allow_third_party_software was needed to run the FPS tracking software)
- Steam overlay: ON (turning it OFF adds FPS)
