Craftsman Chipper/Vac Vintage Hose Cap Repair

The classic chipper/vac machine by Craftsman.
Am not sure why but I have not worried about the machine in a long time.
When our coffee pot needed help I was able to use the round heat plate to fill the hole.
This metal piece is off a Cuisinart Coffee on Demand 12 cup brewer..
It is on reservoir bottom as the heat plate.
It was reasonably priced as a replacement.
