China, Pakistan Face Off Over Blast in Pakistan That Killed 9 Chinese Nationals | The Quint

A war of words broke out between close allies #China and #Pakistan after #PakistanBusBlast killed at least 13 people, including 9 Chinese nationals. China called the blast a 'terror attack' and demanded 'severe punishment'. The Pakistan government, however, said the blast was triggered by gas leakage due to a 'mechanical failure'.

China later revised its statement, not ruling out the 'accident' angle, asking Chinese nationals in Pakistan to be safe.
