Chicago Columbia Exposition 1893- Was it built, or was it an ancient city repaired?

Was the World's Fair in Chicago in 1893, a 700 acre site of massive buildings, really built in 2 years from 1891-1893 as claimed? Was it the remnants of ancient civilization that had previously existed all over the world and was being systematically removed from the history books? This video discusses the comments of a modern building contractor, a look at the architects (Burnham and Root), to the actual buildings themselves- and questions the standard historical narrative.
