In celebration of the 110th anniversary of the death of Mary Phagan I have completed the illustrations for Chapter 7 of The Leo Frank Case, Inside Story of Atlanta’s Greatest Murder Mystery. In this chapter of the Leo Frank Case, a book written anonymously in 1913, the courts are getting ready to prosecute someone. Four days have passed since the brutal murder of a 13 year old factory worker at the National Pencil Company in Atlanta, Georgia. Police have worked quickly to gather enough evidence for the inquest. Five men were arrested. The suspects were James Gantt (disgruntled worker), Arthur Mullinax (trolley driver), Leo Frank (factory superintendent), Newt Lee (night watchman) and James Conley (janitor at the National Pencil Company).
