U.S Army Gen. Joseph L. Votel, commanding general, U.S. Central Command, prepares to fire an M-109 Paladin from Company A, 4-1 Field Artillery, 3rd ABCT, 1st Armored Division, at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, Sept. 24, 2016. Field Artillery at Al Asad Air Base provides support to Iraqi forces during combat operations. Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve is a multinational effort to train and support Iraqi security forces personnel to defeat Da’esh.
