New CA Law Decriminalizing Jaywalking Because of ‘Racism’ is Cover for Real Motive

The real motive behind AB 2147 is much more insidious

Yet another new law to turn all of California into San Francisco was passed by the California Legislature and signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom last fall. This one legalizes jaywalking, effective January 1, 2023.

While this might not sound earth shattering, proponents of AB 2147 claim this change is necessary because punishing jaywalkers is racist, since in Los Angeles, Black people were 31% of the people stopped by the Los Angeles Police Department for jaywalking between 2018 to 2020.

The real motive behind AB 2147 is much more insidious – it’s all part of the push to get people out of cars and and onto public transit or bicycles, and living and working in a city, rather than commuting from a suburb to a city for work.

Trudeau Liberals move to BAN sales of all gas powered vehicles by 2035

Under the regulations, 20 percent of new vehicles sold in Canada would have to be EVs by 2026, with that number increasing incrementally to 100 percent by 2035.

On Wednesday, the Trudeau Liberals moved one step closer to mandating the sale of electric vehicles, proposing regulations that would require auto dealers to ensure that an increasing number of EVs are sold each year.

The move was spearheaded by Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault, who claimed that EVs, which cost more than their traditional gas counterparts, would actually "make life more affordable for families across the country."

Study Shows Electric Cars Become Practically Useless In Cold Weather

According to recent studies, cold temperatures significantly reduce the performance of electric cars, especially when it comes to battery life.

One study by AAA suggested that cold temperatures can reduce the range of the batteries in most electric cars by over 40 percent. It was also noted that the performance can be even worse when the interior heaters are used.

However, even electric car owners who live in hot regions are not safe, because high temperatures can also reduce battery range, although to a far lesser degree.

Luckily, this damage is not permanent, and the battery range returns to normal when average temperatures return, but even if that is the case, this would make electric cars unfeasible for a large portion of the population who live in areas where the temperature is not ideal.
