I am not a fan of amplifiers, but it was hard to pass at $29 for 50 Watts. This amplifier kit from QRP Labs works only for CW and maybe FSK digital modes, NOT AM, DSB or SSB (Class C). It was designed for the QCX CW transceiver but would work with any radio capable of providing 5V on key-down. Operation is full-break-in (QSK). The kit is pretty easy to put together if you read the manual carefully. Mounting the final transistors requires some attention but the procedure is very well explained. I would describe it as easier than building the QCX itself. This amplifier is an incredible value. I can't wait for the QSX kit! In the meantime, this is a good project to help you wait...
