Barges were floated in, and filled with rocks until they sunk the barge, the process was repeated until they reached the surface then the breakwater was capped with a concrete walkway

The Bannerman Surplus business was housed on his Island warehouses. He sold from the Bannermans Catalogue of Military Goods, a published catalog as thick as a phone book with surplus guns, swords and other accessories since 1865

The Castle in the Hudson River was built between 1900 and 1918
